It does not bring any major changes, except the fact that Microsoft Edge, based on Chromium, is integrated by default in the operating system. But in the future, the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser will be available by default with the next Windows 10 feature update. The company has recently started deploying the new Chromium-based Edge browser to users since the Windows Update. Personally, on my Windows 10 machine I gave it some credit over my eternal favorite, Chrome. But I think having the choice to not use their browser is better than having no choice to use it at all.Microsoft has been beta testing its Edge browser based on the Chromium engine for more than 6 months now. Honestly, nothing Microsoft can do will ever be universally loved by Linux users. Well, those who advocate for it say it’s fast, compatible, supports Chrome extensions, and has solid privacy settings (though some of those are enabled by default so be sure to configure things to your tastes if trying it out).
